A possible development of an Official HKC Web Site.
Hi guyz,
We are planning to shift this current blog to a website, we are still in the process of planning.. Currently we are conducting a test from a free web hosting site...
What will you expect with the proposed website?..
- More flexible pages to possibly incorporate all our ideas.
- A Photo Gallery to cater all our photos.
- A blog will still be available in the website pages.
- Specify members who wish to receive a newsletter.
- A forum for members and non member discussion.
- Possible online payment tools to sell or collect donations.
- A shout box to express your-self
- A guest book.
- A bigger chance for our group to be recognized.
If we will only be active and cooperative enough to interact with the current weblog the possibilities will be big.
If you have some suggestions or even a donation to give, lend us a hand and email us at himigkalawaanchoir@gmail.com.

A Welcome Letter to All HKC Members, Past to Present
Dear HKC members old, current and new,
This blog site is created for all of us, so that this may serve as a medium to maintain the integrity of our devotion to serve God and to strengthen our good relationship with each and every one in the group whether you are new or a former member.
It is also our duty to serve people by doing what we are meant to be as a choir... So let this be an instrument to make all those things happen.
May the Good LORD bless us always and may
we sing forever in GODs Glory.
Again, good day and happy viewing to all of you
Oliver S. Licup

Choirmaster
RONALD "Ogie" VILLANUEVA (current)
POSITION: Trainor and Organist
AFFILIATIONS: Composed Band (keyboardist), Retrospect (former keyboardist), Kayla (former sessionist), Shades of Gray Band (keyboardist)
Because of his undying love for music, he strived hard to be a good trainor to the group. Being a teenager that time over the older members of HKC, he took a lot of time and effort to gain the respect he needed and later made the group sing perfectly in harmony of different voices. He also introduced a lot of new arrangements that were sung not only in the church but out of the town as well, and these includes songs for weddings, concerts and choral competitions. He also trained some other choirs like the Charismatic Choir for El Shaddai and the Children's Choir.
MA. THERESA "TeeJay" JOCSON-BAGASBAS (former)
POSITION: Trainor
AFFILIATIONS: a.k.a. "Teejay" of Retrospect
Ate Tess introduced to the group the basic note reading and the art of singing in several voices. But after a few years later pursued her career and went out of the country leaving the group to a new trainor who is also the current organist of HKC (see RONALD "Ogie" VILLANUEVA). A few years later, she joined a new singing group called "Retrospect" and went on recording their first album.. She also handled the "Male Choir" Version of HKC in the year 1991.
CECILLE SANCHEZ (former)
POSITION: Trainor
Ate Cecille is one of the original members (pioneer) of HKC wayback 1975 with Sister Rose as one of the original co-founder of the group.
ROSE JIMENEZ (deceased)
POSITION: Trainor
Sister Rose is one of the co-founder of the group. She, with some youth residing in Kalawaan as members formed the group that until now is known to their exceptional ability to sing in harmony of several voices.

A thanks giving mass for Sta. Martha
It is a yearly devotion of the people of Kalawaan to celebrate the "Itik-Itik Festival" also known as the "Pistang Pasasalamat" for it's Patron Santa Martha. In conjunction to this event is a "Misang Pasasalamat" held at Kalawaan Parish Church, attended by parishioners not only here in our barangay but also from other places. The mass was broadcasted live by "Radio Veritas".
The photos were taken at the mezzanine floor of the parish church, during the 8:30am "Thanks Giving Mass".
